Alvaro,

I enjoyed reading the article and I agree that it would have been nice, in my 20's-30's, to have known some of the stuff I know today. I just think that it is interesting and almost funny, if I knew at that time, that it was possible to ACCELERATE the transfer of wisdom, I believe that for it to have happenned, I would have to had DECELERATED my life's pace and them go find storytellers that would already have had their life's pace DECELERATED. What a drag, slowing down career and family dreams to go find and listen to some old fart tell me their stories!!!! If I knew it then, I would have done it more often and sooner. Take care and be safe.

Hahaha. Love your comments and thank you for taking the time to share Joe.

What makes you say this "I would have to had DECELERATED my life's pace"?

I was in a rat race, looking for the next step in my career, etc. I think that when you are in the run, you just don’t listen. You must stop and be calm to be able to listen.

^agreed. Something I've been thinking about as well.

Do you need to go reach the point where you're forced to or have to listen?

Or is it possible to create the conditions for listening earlier (without sacrificing the career bit)?

When you are in that mode, your are somewhat blind folded, there must be something internal/external that will trigger you to stop and listen.

Any external trigger's that come to mind? One's that can be re-created or intentionally built?
